29th ANNUAL YOUNG ARTISTS’ EXPO - PROSPECTUS 2008

ELIGIBILITY: All students, grades 4-12, may submit 2 original works in the following categories: OILS: (oils, opaque, acrylic, tempera) WATERCOLOR:

(watercolor, acrylic under plastic)PRINTMAKING:(silk-screen, etching, lithography, linoleum, woodcut) DRAWING - Black & White:(ink, pencil, charcoal) DRAWING - Color:(pastel, Cray-pas, inks, mixed media) PHOTOGRAPHY:(black & white and color) SCULPTURE: (no commercial greenware or molds) COMPUTER GRAPHICS,

CRAFTS: (fashion design, weaving, original- macramé, batik, original- stitchery, leather, masks, wall hangings, pottery and wood burning) MIXED MEDIA

SIZE REQUIREMENTS: Artwork: 60”x 60” w/ frame, Sculpture - 50 lbs. Maximum

FramingFramed with plastic window as needed and securely wired for hanging

CALENDAR

FREE ENTRY OF WORK AND SALE

Receiving:  Saturday April 26, 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Artwork must be presented at the Barn Gallery, Ringwood State Park. No commission will be charged on artwork sold. Photographs of artwork and winners may be used for publicity purposes, in our newsletter, on our website http://RMAArts.org, and in the grant application process.  Please inform the directors if you do not wish your photos to be used for these purposes.

Expo Hours: Sun. April 27 - Sun. May 11. Open Weekends & Wednesdays, 1 - 4p.m.

*Reception & Awards Presentation: Sunday May 11, 1:30 p.m. -3:30 p.m.

Due to regulations from the State Park, only disabled parking is allowed near the Barn.  Please park in the main parking lot and walk down.  Thank you. 

Pick-up of Work:  Sunday May 11, 3:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. 
Awards: One award per grade. Prize & certificate presented to each winner.

Liability: All works will be handled with care, but neither RMAA nor Ringwood State Park shall be responsible for loss or damage.
